Monday, June 21, 10A – 4P

Telluride Gallery of Fine Art

Telluride, CO

Join Stephanie for a day of transformational healing and creative expression. Learn how sacred sound works to soothe the mind and gain greater understanding of the science and application of mantra – the primordial vibration of higher Consciousness – as we tap into our creative flow in the design and weaving of our own personalized malas.

Each student will have the opportunity to work with cedarwood and semi-precious beads to design, thread and knot their very own water medicine mala. Optional invitation to hike to Coronet Falls after, at 5pm, for a water blessing with our malas.

  • Himalayan Cedar, Cedrus deodara, derives its name from the Sanskrit word devadaru, meaning the “tree of the divine ones.”  Deva is the root of the words “divine” and “deity” while daru means both “tree” and “true”. Cedar is also known as the tree of the sacred Feminine, and often found growing near water.

  • Howlite is a calming stone, aligned with the cooler energies of mind that nurture perspective and patience. White with brown or black veining, it is also known as White Turquoise or White Buffalo, whose porous nature absorbs excess psychological or emotional heat, allowing us to more clearly see the reservoir of our own inner wisdom.

  • Apatite is a stone that attunes us to clarity and purpose, allowing for greater possibility and insight. Often referred to as the Stone of Manifestation, it is mostly blue and green with gold, brown and white variations. The chameleon-like quality of this powerful earth crystal invites us into the flow of possibility in the midst of change.
